1)Installation Ceremony of the new Team for Lionistic Year 2006-07 held successfully on 25th June, 2006 at Rajkot Engineering Association Hall. Past Multiple Counsil Chairperson Lion Mahendrasinh Jadeja had installed the new Team.
2)We plan to maintain & run Children Library for School No. 87 (Std. 1 to 7) Your generous dontaion & contribution in form of Books is co-ordially invited.
3)Club has decided to install 1 water purifier (R.O.)system with Cooler at Punitnagar School. Project would be completed by 25th of September 2006.
4)Club is also planning to award Toy library for kids at Punintnagar school's play house. Donation in the form of Toys & contribution is heartily welcome.
5) Club's president Lion Ramesh Patel has donated USD 1000/- to LCIF to become "MJF" 1)Mega Eye Camp at Punitnagar School No. 87 has been organised on 9th July, 2006 very successfully.. Free check up, distribution of medicine, Eye Drops, Spectacles to 295 beneficieries had been extended. 5 surgeries of cataract extraction with IOL implantation & 1 surgery of Pteryguim performed free of cost to the beneficiaries.
2)On 12th July, 2006, "Bone Density Test" for all Lion members & family carried out at Lion Dr. Deepak Patel's "Viraj Hospital".
3)On the eve of "Raksha Bandhan", Rakhee making competition was organised in association with Rajkot Municipal Corporation. Prizes to winners & consolation awards to all participants distributed.
4)Rs. 10,000/- donated towards SURAT natural calamity beneficiaries(Rs. 5,000/- to Red Cross Society & Rs. 5,000/- towards joint fund managed by all Lions Clubs of Rajkot)
5)"Independence Day" was celebrated on 15th August at club's adopted school - Punitnagar Pri. School no.87. Biscuits & Sweets were distributed to 300 students.
6)2 Tricycles were donated to beneficieries on 9th July, 2006 during Club's 2nd General Meeting.7)On 4th August, 2006, Food to the 514 student of Club's adopted school (PunitNagar) was distributed.8)Tree Plantation of 50 trees carried out on 15th August at Club's adopted school (PunitNagar)9)"Envirnmental Camp" was organised on 10th September to create awareness & protect the environment.10)In association with Indian Red Cross Society Rajkot, 3 Tricycles, 1 wheel chair & 4 Hearing Aids were distributed free of cost on 17th September'06.11)"Rasotsav" talent evening was organised on 22nd September'06 on Traditional Gujarati Folk dances. Various prizes were distributed.12)Alon with Rajkot Municipal Corporation, another talent evening "Shardostva" on regional folk dances was organised at Bhagavatipara Community Centre 13)On the eve of "Bal-Din" multi-purpose Steel Utensils to 250 students of Club's adopted school (PunitNagar)were distributed for "Madhyahn Bhojan". Also 180 Books worth Rs. 3000/- were donated to the Club's adopted school (PunitNagar)' library on "Bal-Din"15)Club's adopted school (PunitNagar) has been painted, Banners & Logo of Club & Lions International has been projected at prominent places of the school for elevating the "Lions' Image" in the society. 16)"Sarva Rog" nidan Mega Mediacl Camp was organised at backward area named "Navagam" of the city. Total 520 patients benefitted form free diagnosis, distribution of medicines, Free diabetes Check-up, free spectacles etc.17) Public awareness seminar on the subject "Health & Fitness" was organised on 20the December'06.18)National Festival "Makar Sakranti" was celebrated by distributing Chikis and sweets to Club's adopted school (PunitNagar)on 14th January'07 19)Toys woth Rs. 5,000/- were distributed to the little kids of "Play House" of the Club's adopted school (PunitNagar) on 26th January'2007 20)Public awareness seminar on the subject "Education in Mothertongue" was organised on 1st February'07. 21)Mega "Sarva Rog" medical camp organised at villege Navania of Junagadh district on 10th February'07 - Total beneficieries 487. IOL sugeries - 39 Spectacles distributed 276 Free Medicines worth Rs. 13,000 were distributed.22) On the Eve of International Women's day on 8th March'07, 4 nos. of Ticycles were distribyted to women beneficiaries. Beuty Parlor, Mehendi & Embroidery competitions were organised at Municipal Corporation Community Centre on Morbi Road. Prizes to the winnwers & participants were distributed by the club.
